Get Belt Smart! New Carbon Drive Instructional Videos
Gates Carbon Drive has produced a new series of instructional videos for belt drive bike owners and shop mechanics.
The instructional videos feature Gates technician Ben Castaneda explaining a range of basic subjects related to handling, storing and tensioning Gates Carbon Drive belts, as well as using our Gates bicycle tools including the SureFit Tool, Strap Wrench, Krikit Gauge and our Carbon Drive iPhone and Android smartphone apps. The videos are a short and snappy one minute in length each. We recommend them to anyone who owns or works on belt drive bikes.
These videos, shot by ace videographer Ryan Van Duzer, can be found in the Resources sections of the Gates Carbon Drive homepage, as well as on our Youtube page. Learn more about our “Tools for a Smooth Ride” featured in the videos and download the free Gates Carbon Drive smartphone apps. The apps have a sonic tension tester that uses your phone’s microphone and works like a guitar tuner. Pluck your belt like a guitar string and the meter provides a tension measurement. Pretty cool.
