Café Moto Go!

  April 18, 2019

Old school design. New school technology.

Rear 3/4 view of an Electra Café Moto Go, finished in black

Meet the Café Moto Go!, a new electric bike that ticks all the boxes for riders seeking top notch technology and head-turning style. Electra calls it the “ultimate combination of badass, retro style and modern technology.” Hard to disagree. The bike’s aesthetic is inspired by the so-called café racer motorcycles popularized by young British motorcyclists in 1960s London, when hip cats of the era would race between meetups at cafés.

Cafe Moto Go-wheelie

But it’s the drivetrain that makes this wheelie machine a modern marvel. The Café Moto Go! is powered by a Bosch Performance Line Speed motor that provides a power boost up to 28 miles per hour — perfect for keeping up with the flow of traffic on urban streets. A Gates Carbon Drive belt and sprockets connect the Bosch motor (whose in-tube battery is concealed in the downtube) to an enviolo continuously variable planetary hub that provides seamless and whisper-smooth shifting, as well as grease-free, low-maintenance cleanliness. Style points include the hydroformed faux gas tank, a Brooks premium leather saddle, tool bag and Cambium grips. New meets old meets souped-up fun. electrabike.com
